Event comments
In the spring, the area is covered in wildflowers. There is no shade, so prepare accordingly. Water and restrooms are available at the start point, Mission San Jose Visitor's Center, at Mission Concepcion Visitor's Center where you will park, at Concepcion Park along the route, and at the 10 K turnaround at the Blue Star Arts Complex. The Visitor's Center is closed on major holidays.

World Heritage Site. The trail will include Concepcion Mission, the Yturri-Edmunds Home and Mill, and trails along the San Antonio River. Open 9am - 5pm.

Driving to the start box
6701 San Jose Drive, San Antonio, 78214 (Mission Rd at Roosevelt Ave). Telephone: 210-932-1001. From US-281 South, exit at Military Dr and go right past Brooks City Base to Roosevelt Ave. Turn right on Roosevelt Ave. and follow the National Parks signs to the San Jose Visitor Center. After signing in, drive to Mission Concepcion to begin the walk.
