Event information
Mon-Sat 9-6; Sun 10-2. Closed major holidays. Route begins on the Burke-Gilman Trail and visits the U District, but most of the route tours the beautiful campus of the University of Washington returning to the start point via the Ship Canal (beneath the Montlake Bridge), the UW Medical campus, and Northlake. The route is currently not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs; check for future developments.

Driving to the start box
1900 N. Northlake Way. From I-5 north or southbound, take exit 169/NE 45th Street. Turn west onto NE 45th to Meridian Avenue North. Turn left onto Meridian and proceed downhill on Meridian. Fisheries Supply faces N 34th Street at the SW corner of Meridian and 34th. Turn onto 34th for the best on-street parking. Do not park in the store lot. ALTERNATE LIGHT RAIL ONLY START: Montlake Market, 2605 22nd Ave. E. Disembark Light Rail at UW Station and take escalators up to street level. Walk to intersection of Montlake & Walla Walla Rd. (leaving Stadium behind on your left). Cross Walla Walla and continue on Montlake. Cross the bridge and continue, 4 blocks, including crossing over freeway (SR-520). Cross Lake WA Blvd., and turn right to cross Montlake Blvd. Turn left, crossing the turn-lane, and continue a half-block to the Market (beyond the 76 Station). This Alternate Start is for Light Rail riders only, and is not suitable for driving. Start box is at magazine rack next to cashier.
