Event information
Walk during daylight hours only. The course passes through four historic districts in downtown Athens: the Beaty Historic District, the Athens Square Historic District, the Houston Historic District, and the Athens State University Historic District. This walk is primarily on paved streets and sidewalks, however, there are a few places where there is no sidewalk.

Driving to the start box
1222 Kelli Dr. From I-65, take Exit 351. Go east on Hwy 72. Take the first right onto Kelli Dr. Hampton Inn is on the right. The walk box is at Hampton Inn. Drive to Athens Visitors Center to complete walk. Pick up driving instructions to the Visitors Center in the"walk box" at Hampton Inn. Stamp books and take along an envelope so you will not have to return to start point to stamp your books.
