Event information

This route is on paved paths, sidewalks,and one short section of bark dust. The walk goes through a college campus,two parks,and in neighborhoods along a bluff with great views of Oregon and Washington,along the Columbia River. It also provides scenic views of Mt. Hood & Mt. Saint Helens in good weather. Suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE COLLEGE CAMPUS. THERE IS NO ALTERNATE ROUTE. Start times 7am-6:30pm. Closed most holidays.

how to get to the event

Driving to the start box

1111 NE 102nd Ave., Portland, OR. From I-205 northbound, take Exit 21A, Glisan St. Turn right on Glisan and go to 102nd Av. Turn left on 102nd to Pacific Street. Turn left on Pacific and right into the Fred Meyer parking lot. From I-205 southbound, take Exit 21A, Glisan St.. Turn left on Glisan and go to 102nd Ave and continue with directions above. From I-84 westbound, take Exit 9 to I-205 south (towards Salem), and take Exit 21A Glisan St. Turn left on Glisan and go to 102nd Ave, turn left and continue with directions above. From I-84 eastbound, take Exit 7, Halsey/Gateway District and continue to second light (102nd Ave). Turn right on 102nd for two blocks and turn right into the Fred Meyer parking lot. You can take bus #20 or MAX to 102nd & Burnside, then walk .3 miles north to 102nd & Glisan, or take the #15 Belmont/Parkrose TC and get off on 102nd & Glisan and walk north to Fred Meyer. Start box is inside 102nd Ave entrance. PLEASE NOTE THAT ACCESS TO THE WALK BOX IS NOT AVAILABLE FROM 7PM TO 9AM DAILY. THIS AREA WILL BE LOCKED.
