Event information
Walk on forest trails within the park. Some trails are primitive. The 10km route has a spectacular view of Protection Island Aquatic Reserve, mountains, and the Strait. Sturdy footwear and walking/hiking poles are recommended as well as bug spray. 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Driving to the start box
275953 Highway 101, Gardiner WA (360) 797-7100 DIRECTIONS: From the east go north on SR 3 to Hood Canal Bridge. After crossing the bridge continue on SR 104 and go north on US 101 in the direction of Sequim and Port Angeles. Wild Birds is about five miles past Discovery Bay, on the right after MP 277 at MP 276. From the west, Wild Birds is about 10 miles east of Sequim on US 101. You will see the Gardiner Community Center on your left just before coming to Wild Birds on the left. Ask inside for the Miller Peninsula Box located in the store. You will drive to the start at Miller Peninsula State Park. 1091 Diamond Point Road, Sequim, WA.Turn RIGHT out of Wild Birds Unlimited onto HWY 101. RIGHT on Diamond Point Rd. Look for a large developed parking lot with facilities on LEFT (1.2 miles). NOTE: A Washington State (Parks) Discover Pass is required for parking. (A kiosk is available to buy a daily Discovery Pass at the park.)
