Event information

Route goes through quiet residential areas, into the beautiful Highline SeaTac Botanic Garden (free, open-daily), passes by the SeaTac Community Center, by and through several city parks, through the Tukwila business district and the new Tukwila library. Walk is mostly on city sidewalks, and some gravel or asphalt trails within parks. Some moderate hills. Walk qualifies for the Light Rail Challenge to celebrate the ten year anniversary of Light Rail and to encourage walkers to explore the walking routes and neighborhoods all along the Light Rail.

how to get to the event

Driving to the start box

15252 International Blvd, Tukwila, WA 98188. From Light Rail, disembark at Tukwila Station and go down to street level. Arco is across the street. Driving directions: I-5NB, exit 154A (SR518 West/SeaTac Airport). Stay in left exit lane, following signs for SeaTac and crossing over I-5. move to right lane for the 'Airport' exit toward the top of the hill. This becomes a 3-lane exit. Stay in middle lane that veers right to S. 154th St. Right onto 154th, then move to the middle-left lane to make a wide-left turn onto International Blvd. Arco is on the corner on the right. I-5SB, take exit 154B (Southcenter). Stay in far right exit lane, turn right onto Southcenter Blvd, and drive uphill 1 mile. Arco is on the right. Ask for the walk-box at the counter. Parking to register at Arco is OK, but not for walk -- directions provided in walk-box for parking near start. Metro bus options: Rapid A, Rapid F, 124, 128.
