Event information

Open 24/7. Route passes through downtown Iowa City, and includes several residential neighborhoods, including historic "Goose Town." There are 16 buildings and two neighborhoods listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You will walk through the University of Iowa campus, view the Iowa Writers' Workshop and enjoy a Literary Walk. Most of the trail is on city sidewalks.

Driving to the start box

201 S. Linn St. Iowa City, IA. From I-80, take Exit 244 south on Dubuque St. for 1.5 miles into Iowa City. Go right on Church St. for one block, turning left at bend in road onto Clinton St. Continue south eight blocks, then turn left on Burlington St. Turn left one block later (Dubuque St.) and park in the parking ramp on your right.
