Event information
This walk goes to the Colorado Freedom Memorial. The walk starts at the Morrison Nature Center which contains displays and lots of information about flora and fauna of the area and proceeds along the Sand Creek Greenway to the Memorial. The Memorial's large glass panels record the names of Colorado military members who have fought and died in service to our Country. Beautiful artistic structure close to Buckley AFB. Start elevation 5471 feet.

Driving to the start box
Morrison Nature Center, 16002 Smith Rd. 80011. From the North: Take I-70 east to Chambers Rd., then right (south) to Smith Rd. Turn left (east) on Smith Rd. a sjort distance to Laredo. Turn right on Laredo and the Nature Center is 1/4 mile on your left. From the South: Take I-225 north to Colfax Ave., then right (east) to Chambers Rd. Turn left on Chambers Rd. to Smith Rd. Turn right on Smith Rd. to Laredo. Right on Laredo and the Nature Center is 1/4 mile on your left.
