Event information
Daily, Dawn to Dusk. Elevation 6,012 ft. This walk passes the U.S. Olympic Training Center which includes the original barracks of Ent Air Force Base where the athletes are housed. You will pass historic landmarks including: Palmer High School that was built by the WPA under FDR in 1940, Grace and St. Stephens Church (1895), the Fanny Mae Duncan home built to House entertainers such as Duke Ellington and Etta James who would perform at her Cotton Club, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center among others.

Driving to the start box
Uintah & I-25 - From I-25, Exit 143(Uintah), proceed E one block to Glen. Turn Left, 7-11 is on corner of Glen/Uintah. Box is located against the back wall opposite the coffee machines. It may have cups in front or on top of, so just look around. Drive to the trailhead (approximately 1 mile- DO NOT PARK AT 7-11)
