Event comments

To check trail closures, call (830) 796-4413 or check the HCNA Facebook page. For example, public hunts were announced for 1-3 Jan and 14-17 Jan, so the park is closed to hikers till 4 Jan. This is a primitive area, so prepare accordingly -- bring anything you will need (e.g., water, food). There is a $6/person entrance fee (and the $3 walk fee) unless you have a Texas State Park Pass.
