Long description

Our New Year's Day event is fun for the whole family. Come early and have some breakfast goodies before heading out on your walk and plan on joining our amazing potluck tables with us when you finish your walk. On New Year's Day, we'll be walking in midtown and downtown areas viewing art and architecture in the different neighborhoods. As always, we'll be enjoying the utter quiet of the city, seeing new things and learning more interesting details about Sacramento.

Restroom/Water: At start/finish and along the route. Strollers/Wheelchairs: OK Dogs: OK with leash and cleanup. Not allowed inside the church. Awards: A limited edition Commemorative Patch will be available for $4.00 each. (5k = 3.1 miles ; 10k = 6.2 miles)

Driving to the start

From Capitol City Freeway going North, take the N St exit. At bottom of ramp, turn left on 30th St, staying in left lane. Turn left on L St. Pioneer Church will be on the left between 28th and 27th St, directly opposite Sutter's Fort. Parking should be FREE on New Year's Day. From Capitol City Freeway going South, take the J St exit, veering slightly right at the bottom of the ramp to 29th St. Drive to L St and turn right. Pioneer Church will be on the left between 28th and 27th St, directly opposite Sutter's Fort. Parking is FREE on New Year's Day.
