Long description

A wonderful fun-filled, spooky walk along paved and dirt trails through the woods. Ghosts and goblins may be lurking along the trails. Wear your favorite costume for a contest after lunch on Saturday. We'll have a barbecue for all beginning at noon on both days. (donation)

Comments

Camping is available in the park for tents, and RV's up to 28 ft. Reservations not necessary at this time of year. Dogs on leash are allowed at campsites only. Wheelchairs and strollers advised to do the 5K disabled access trails. Water and restrooms at the start and along the trail. There is a park entrance fee. Carpooling advised.

Driving to the start

Follow Hwy. 99, 15 miles South of Stockton to Exit 240, Austin Rd. From the North, exit and turn left on frontage road. Right on Austin Rd., over the tracks and continue 6 miles on Austin Rd. to its end at the park entrance. From South follow Hwy. 99 North to Exit 240. Exit and turn left on Austin Rd., over the railroad tracks, 6 miles to park entrance. Follow park road straight ahead to 2nd driveway on left to the Big Meadows Picnic area.
