The annual Pufferbilly Days Railroad celebration is held the first weekend after Labor Day. The Iowa Municipal Band Festival is held the second Saturday of July at the Herman Park Pavilion.

Event information
Daily, dawn finish by dusk. Walk along the historic Lincoln Highway and pass the birthplace of Mamie Doud Eisenhower. Visit the Historic Depot and the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad Museum (fee). The walk also passes through McHose Park.

Driving to the start box
Daily dawn, finish by dusk. From Hwy 30 turn N to Boone at 4-way stop (Story St). Circle K is on right about 1 block.
