10k not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. 5k is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Start point elevation is 5351 ft. This walk goes through South Platte Park. The Park is owned by the City of Littleton and managed by South Suburban Parks & Recreation. Ecosystems in the Park include the only unchannelized section of the South Platte River in the Denver Region, riparian woodlands, grassland and marsh wetlands. Over 300 species of vertebrates have been found in the Park and hundreds of native wildflowers, grasses and shrubs. The Center provides programs for schools and the public and works to restore ecological integrity in the area. It always has intersting nature displays and walkers are encouraged to spend time there.
