Event comments
Click on the 'View legacy listing' button above to use the links in the Comments. If you are not accustomed to walking at altitude, it will take longer to complete the walk. The walk is on city streets through historic downtown Castle Rock, and on concrete walking/biking paths (Rated 2A). There is an optional dirt 2km extension to either the 5km or 10km route (this 2km is rated 3C) to hike up to "The Rock". Carrying your own water is highly recommended. Sunscreen is very essential. You should dress in layers as the Colorado weather can change quickly. There is NO start box at this location. For contactless online registration go to our Online Event Registration System. Driving to the start box
202 Wilcox. From Colorado Springs head N on I-25, exit 181, Plum Creek Pkwy. Right on Plum Creek Pkwy, immediate left to Wilcox. Continue .4 miles to DazBog coffee on right. From Denver I-25 head S to exit 182 for Wilcox/Wolfensberger. Left at end of ramp, follow Wilcox approx .7 miles to DazBog Coffee on left. Use our Online Event Registration System for contactless registration at https://AVAClubs.org/store/.
