1100 Railroad Ave., Vallejo, CA 94592 (Reference only: The actual start point will be in the general Historical area to be determined at a later date.) Walk is on paved roads, sidewalks and rated 1A. Start 9 am to 12 pm - Finish by 4 pm.

The walk route will cover the general Historical area and buildings on Mare Island as well as a portion of the San Pablo Bay Trail. Walk is on paved roads, sidewalks and rated 1A. Start 9 am to 12 pm - Finish by 4 pm. Dogs are permitted in the Historical area with the exception of San Pablo Bay Trail. Wheel chairs and strollers can navigate most streets and sidewalks but would have difficulty on the trail. The Mare Island Preserve area is currently closed due to fire concerns.

Driving to the start
1100 Railroad Ave., Vallejo, CA 94592 (Reference only: The actual start point will be in the general Historical area to be determined at a later date.) Driving Directions: From I-80 E/B and W/B exit onto SR 37 and continue approx. 2.5 miles to Mare Island (Exit #17) and onto Walnut St. Continue 1.3 miles on Walnut St. to Connelly St. Turn left on Connolly St. and continue to Railroad Ave. Turn right and follow signs to Flyway Festival and start point. An alternate route from I80 - exit Tennessee St. and continue West on Tennessee thru Vallejo for approx. 2.5 miles, continuing across bridge and onto Island. Turn left on Walnut St. and continue as described above.
