Long description

Walk #1 of 6 walk weekend. Participants may register and pay for all walks at this event. Start point will be staffed from 8-10 AM on Friday Sept.11. Walk will be on city hike/bike trails and city sidewalks. Past courthouse and other historic buildings. Winner is the largest farm/ranch support community for many miles.

Driving to the start

800 W. 5th Street. Picnic shelter on Hike/Bike Trail. From I-90 Westbound take Exit 251. Left on SD Hwy 47 about 10 miles to SD Hwy 49. Turn right 26 miles to SD Hwy 44. Turn right on SD Hwy 44 for 9 miles thru Winner to South County Road on west edge of town. Turn left for 2 blocks to 5th St. Turn left one block to park on left. From Eastbound I-90 take exit 226. Turn right on US Hwy 183 for 35.5 miles to US Hwy 18. Turn left for 8 miles to South County Road. Then follow directions above to park.
