Long description
Walk through the charming Village of Charlotte which houses the Port of Rochester, along the Genesee River and Lake Ontario. Through the Ontario Beach Park, Turning Point Park, past the 1822 Charlotte Light house, the Samuel Latta House (circa 1806 2nd oldest building in Monroe County NY) and the 1905 Denzel Carousel. Port is 5 miles from Downtown Rochester and is its access to the Great Lakes.

Walk box is in the office behind the walk up counter- Ask the order clerk you have to be insistent as there are a lot of clerks its busy on weekends. Try to be polite please. There is a sit down section in the restaurant. Billgrays.com for coupons and menu. Restrooms are in the same building. Walk daylight hours only. Corona Virus Update 6/8/20. Start Point is OPEN 11Am to 8PM Monday-Sunday. Sit-down portion of restaurant is CLOSED.

Driving to the start box
From the East NY State Thruway exit 45 to I-490. Follow I-490 All the way through downtown Rochester to I-390 North Greece exit (Right). Follow I-390 to the end at the Lake Ontario Parkway, and exit Right. Follow the Lake Ontario Parkway to its End at Lake Avenue (First light on the parkway). Left on Lake Avenue to Corrigan Street. Right on Corrigan Street. You should see a large building with the Port of Rochester on its side just ahead. Bill Grays entrance is in the Left End of the building facing Lake Ontario, From the West NY State Thruway Exit 47 to I-490. Follow I-490 to the I-390 exit (Left) toward Greece, and follow the directions above from that point.
