Event comments

This guided walk will go along Capitol Lake, up to the Capitol, along the Deschutes River, Port of Olympia and the South Capitol Neighborhood Historic District. The 5k route does NOT go to the Capitol building. Pets are not allowed in the capitol building. ESVA: 39 counties, Frontline Heroes (restaurant). AVA: the 10k qualifies for Little Free Library and Walking with American's Veterans.

Event information

This is a guided walk, registration opens at 9:00 am. Allow time to register, use restrooms and be ready to walk at 10:00 am. There will be walk leaders for fast and medium/slow walkers. The walk will start at the salmon holding pens where we will hear a short presentation. The new fish holding pens have large viewing windows giving you an up close, underwater view of the migrating salmon.

Driving to the start

110 Deschutes Parkway SW, Tumwater, Wa 98501. Northbound I-5: take exit 103 onto Deschutes Way SW. Turn right on C St. SW into Tumwater Falls Park parking lot. Southbound I-5 take exit 103 onto North 2nd AVE SW. At first stop light turn left onto Custer Way SW. Immediately after crossing the Deschutes River, turn right onto Boston St. SW. Then left onto Deschutes Way SW. Turn left at C Street SW into Tumwater Falls Park parking lot.
