Event comments

Do not leave car in store lot - start box has a parking map. The Start is two blocks from the Light Rail Station - see below for walk directions from Station to Start. Walk box is purple plastic file folder, ask cashier for it. No restrooms at Start, use restroom at the PCC grocery next door. Pets are prohibited on Light Rail but are allowed on the route if arriving otherwise. Leash and clean up laws apply. The 10K route is closed August 5th through 10th for the hydroplane races/Seafair. The 6K route is available but will be congested at that time.

Explore quaint residential neighborhoods and several parks. Stroll through the Columbia City Historic Landmark District with its shops and restaurants. Walk along the shoreline of Lake Washington and past the Rowing Center. Farmer's Market on Wednesday afternoons, May-October.

This event also has a physical start box. These are the driving directions:

4805 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle, 98118. From Light Rail, disembark at Columbia City Station and exit at south end of Station. Left onto S Edmunds St., and walk two blocks to Rainier Ave. S. Left on Rainier for one block to the shop. Driving directions: From NB/SB I-5: Exit onto I-90; take exit 3 on right (Rainier Ave. S.). Turn right onto Rainier and drive 2.3 miles. At one half-block south of S. Alaska St., turn right into store parking lot. Metro bus 7, 50, 106.
