Event comments
Downs Park has 231 acres of beautiful parkland facing the Chesapeake Bay, with paved and natural surface paths. NOTE: this is a wetlands park, so many natural paths will have muddy patches, even if it hasn?t rained/snowed lately; even the paved trails will have puddles on occasion. The 5K trail is all paved and entirely inside the park. Both 10K trails employ natural paths, and will have restrooms in several places. The A trail starts outside of the park and goes through a neighborhood around the park, mainly on road shoulders, before entering the park via a pedestrian gate. It finishes by walking a short distance along Mountain Road. The B trail starts and ends inside the park, with a short loop in the nearby neighborhood. There are no sidewalks outside the park so neither trail is recommended for wheelchairs. The use of strollers will require additional care. Pets are not allowed inside the start point (market). Pets must be kept on a leash and cleaned up afterward.

Event information
Angel?s Market is open 7AM ? 9 PM. Park is open 7AM ? dusk daily. Walk during daylight hours. Notice: Drive 1 ? 1.5 miles from market to walk start, depending on trail chosen. Driving directions are on top of walk directions. There are two possible start points. If you choose the trail that starts inside the park, there is a $6 fee per vehicle to enter, unless you have an Anne Arundel County parks pass OR you have an active/retired military ID card. No credit cards will be accepted.

4681 Mountain Rd., 21122. 410-255-6800. On MD 100 E to MD 177 (Mountain Rd.). MD 100 E reached from N or S via I-95, US 1, BW Pkwy (MD 295) or MD 2. On MD 177, 2.2 miles to Angels Food Market on right.
