Long description
The walk starts just outside of downtown Castroville with its classic stores, unique Alsatian architecture and shops filled with antiques and collectibles. The route meanders past historic landmarks and sites, and along the shady Medina River. Open daily, dawn to dusk.

Driving to the start box
202 US-90 E, Castroville, TX 78009. From San Antonio go West on US-90. Sammy's is 10.6 miles from Loop-1604. Turn LEFT at traffic light before Medina River bridge on Lower Lacoste (There is NO street sign. Note: FM-471 North goes to the Right). Sammy's is on the LEFT. Ample parking around restaurant.
