This is an easy walk as it winds through quiet neighborhoods in the Great Northwest of San Antonio. It visits the Maverick Branch Library for whom the walked is named. There are many shade trees along the routes and it is mostly on paved sidewalks.

(WALK BOX NOT AVAILABLE) 7663 Guilbeau RD, San Antonio, TX 78250. From LOOP-410 take Exit-13A and go North on Bandera RD about 3.4 miles. Turn LEFT on Guilbeau. McDonald's is on RIGHT. From LOOP TX-1604 take Exit 16 and go South on Bandera RD about 3.1 miles. Go RIGHT on Guilbeau to McDonald's.
