Event comments
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. These parks tell the story of our 36th President beginning with his ancestors to his final resting place on his beloved ranch. This "circle of life" provides a visitor the most complete picture of any American President. The NPS offers tours of the ground floor of the Texas White House -- the TWH is temporarily closed for renovation. A fee of $3 is charged for the tour. Related LBJ sites (Boyhood Home, early settlement, Visitor Center) may be found in Johnson City.

Event information
There are five routes -- 2 x 5km, 2 x 10km, 1 x 20km. A 5km and a 10km cover the State Park, while a 5km and a 10km cover the National Park. The 10km routes halve the 20km route in case you can't do all 20km at the same time. A short section of steps down/up a creek bed and stone crossing can be avoided if needed. Watch out for cattle, bison, longhorns, and deer.

On US 290, between Fredericksburg (US 87) and Johnson City (US 281), 2 miles E of Stonewall. Call 830-644-2252 or 800-792-1112 or check website for latest park updates. WALK BOX is in Visitor Center, by the bench.
