Event information
Kelso was declared Smelt Capital of the World in 1956. Walk past Post Office(NRHP), Train Station, thru downtown and on two dike paths, with an additional 9K option. The alt 10K is on the Coweeman Slough dike trail. The 5K walks thru town.

This event also has a physical start box. These are the driving directions:
510 Kelso Drive, Kelso, WA 98626. From I-5 Northbound: Take exit 39. Turn Left going under I-5, then immediately turn Right onto Kelso Drive. Turn Left into the Hotel parking lots. Ask for the Walk Box at the Registration Desk. Southbound: Take exit 39 and turn left at light. Follow directions above. Walk daily, dawn to dusk.
