Event information

The walk is mainly on the Washington State University Campus in Vancouver. This campus setting contrasts nicely with a surrounding rural atmosphere. Experience public art, stately brick architecture, and ponds, meadows and mature forests. Cross a wooden bridge over Mill Creek, pass a historic pioneer cabin site, walk beside hay fields, through wetlands and a riparian restoration project. Country and mountain views. Many of the jogging paths and interpretive trails follow foot paths and game trails established by original homesteaders long ago. Surfaces include sidewalks, paved campus paths, and bark/wood chip nature trails. Three short sets of steps. Restrooms and water available at registration and on campus when in session. The 10 km is rated 2B as portions can get muddy during rainy weather. The 5 km is rated 1A but does have a hill at the start of the walk.

Awards: IVV CREDIT ONLY
