"Veterans Town" with Veterans Administration and State Veterans Home. Arts in the Park and Miss South Dakota Pageant held in June. Wind Cave National Park is north on Hwy 385.

Event information
You will drive to the start of the10K route at the Super 8 Motel, 800 Mammoth Street, on the Hwy 18 truck by-pass, or you can pick up the trail at the start of the 5K. The 5K walk actually starts 3 blocks south of Lynn's Dakotamart at the Mueller Center, 801 S. 6th Street, or if you want, you can pick up the trail at the Dakotamart Gas. Directions will be in the box. Walk on Freedom Trail along Fall River and throughout historic Hot Springs to view sandstone buildings. Swim at Evans Plunge or visit the Mammoth Site.
