Event information

DRIVE TO START: Locations are west of Bridge of the Gods on SR14 -- PCT just west of the bridge on the right; Bonneville Trail head on the right approx. 1.5 miles from the bridge. Bonneville Dam Visitors Center is a bit further on the left. An good, early season hike with a leisurely ascent on a well-used trail. Nice view of the Columbia River and views of small ponds along the way. A thick forest gives welcome summer shade with views of the remnants of a massive landslide between 250 and 900 years ago that formed the earthen dam over the Columbia, the Native Americans called the "Bridge of the Gods". Gillette Lake's blue-green waters is great for swimming, fishing or just relaxing.
