Event information
Walk on forest trails within the park. Some trails are primitive. The 10km route has a spectacular view of Protection Island Aquatic Reserve, mountains, and the Strait. Sturdy footwear and walking/hiking poles are recommended as well as bug spray.

This event also has a physical start box. These are the driving directions:
275953 Highway 101, Gardiner WA. DIRECTIONS: From the east go north on SR 3 to Hood Canal Bridge. After crossing the bridge continue on SR 104 to US 101 in the direction of Sequim and Port Angeles. Wild Birds is about five miles past Discovery Bay, on the right at MP 276. There is ample parking, but park away from the front of the store. From the west, Wild Birds is about 10 miles east of Sequim on US 101. You will see the Gardiner Community Center on your left just before coming to Wild Birds on the left. NOTE: YOU MUST DRIVE TO THE PARK TO START THE WALK. 1091 Diamond Point Road. A Washington State (Parks) Discover Pass is required for parking. A Kiosk is available to buy a daily pass.
