There are many other things to see and do in Decorah: Fish Hatchery, Decorah's eagle's nest, Seed Savers Exchange, tubing on the Upper Iowa River, kayaking, camping and biking on the 11 mile Trout Run Trail.

Event information
Dawn to dusk. Starting at the beautiful historic Hotel Winneshiek, explore Decorah's Norwegian heritage on sidewalks and multi-use trail. The Vesterheim Museum, an Ice Cave, waterfalls and art sculptures can be seen along the trail.

In NE Iowa on US Hwy 9 at the stoplight for Short St turn into downtown Decorah (north). Right on W Water St for several blocks to Hotel Winneshiek on the left. Ample parking behind the hotel.
