Event comments

The award is a wooden block cutout of the Alexander Purdie House. Only 50 houses will be ordered, and they go fast during pre-registration. The Best Western is offering special room rates: $72 plus tax per night, available through Nov 7. To make a reservation, call the hotel at (757) 229-4100 and ask for the Peninsula Pathfinder rate. NOTE: The Little Free Library is only on the 6 and 11 Kilometer routes. The walk also qualifies for the Virginia Cities Special Program for Williamsburg.

Event information

The day walk will be through Colonial Williamsburg and along city streets and sidewalks. Colonial Williamsburg is decorated for Christmas, so walkers can enjoy the decorations on the doors and the streets.

Driving to the start

351 York St, Williamsburg, VA. Take I-64 to to Exit 242A to VA Rte 199 toward Williamsburg. Drive about 1.1 miles to the exit for US 60. Turn right onto the exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto US 60 W. The Best Western is on your right after about 1.9 miles.
