Event comments

Trailhead parking areas can sometimes fill to capacity from mid-morning to early afternoon during the summer season, resulting in parking along the roadway. If you want to park within the parking area, plan to arrive earlier or later in the day. Registration is open 8 AM-Noon, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Registration at the Cle Elum Hardware Store is about 1 hour from the trailheads. Participants can choose to register, obtain map and directions, and stamp books for all the hikes at one time. We hope this registration schedule will provide the most flexibility to our participants, as well as give our volunteers a chance to meet you on the trails. No bathroom facilities, closest pit toilets are at Beverly Campground. Event information

This steep trail, with an elevation gain of 2100 ft in 4 km, boasts acres and acres of wildflowers, splendid views of many mountain peaks, cool forests, and rushing streams. Hikers may choose to combine the short extension to the Bean Creek headwaters with the trail to Earl Pass ( 12km total, 3,200ft elevation gain), or just proceed directly to Earl Pass for a 10K hike with an elevation gain of 2,700 ft. Earl Pass adds superb views of the Stuart range as well as sightings of faraway farmland. Your choice of three different distances - 8K, 10K or 12K.
