Event comments

Anderson has been dubbed the Friendliest City in South Carolina by the National Civic League. This walk has two distinct areas. The first is the quaint downtown featuring many old buildings and interesting architecture along with numerous art installations. There are 24 hidden Carolina Wrens bronze statues roosting downtown. Can you find them all? Also, this vibrant downtown has many interesting shops and restaurants for you to browse and visit. The second half is in the Anderson University Historic District. The college was built between 1912 and 1920 and contains many buildings on the National Historic Register. Walk through the park-like setting populated with mature magnolias, dogwoods, evergreens, and large expanses of beautifully landscaped lawns.
