Event comments
Sammy Baugh, former Washington Redskins quarterback, had a ranch in Rotan. Ella Hudson Day and her husband helped found Rotan around 1907. He had a successful hardware store. She was a ragtime musician, most noted for her song "Fried Chicken Rag".

Event information
Rotan calls itself "A Genuine Texas Town" and is home to one of the largest gypsum companies in the U.S. Walks include neighborhoods and churches. 10 km also includes a Fitness Trail.
