Start/Finish during daylight hours only! This walk will take you through world-renown Squaw Valley near Lake Tahoe. Squaw Valley, also known as Olympic Valley, was the site for the 1960 Winter Olympics. This walk is one of a kind with 360 degree views of mountains (and some volcanoes). From the starting point, walk through the Village area, then on to view the historic Squaw Valley Chapel, one of 3 buildings remaining from the Olympics. 1750 Village East Rd. Olympic Valley, CA 96146 Directions: From Tahoe City take Hwy #89 North towards Truckee for ~5.1 mi. Turn Left onto Olympic Valley Rd. for 2.1 mi. Then turn left onto Village East Rd. Destination is on your right.
