Event comments
Founded in 1882 with coming of railroad. Amon G. Carter, as a boy, was said to have sold chicken sandwiches to passengers at the depot. Chicken & Bread Days Festival in Oct. and 2nd Monday Trade Days each month. Once home to largest poultry ranch in the world.

Event information
Our walks include City Hall, library, historic markers, and quaint and historic downtown. 10 km also includes Trade Days grounds and 3000 lb. Bowie Knife.
