Event comments
West County Trail (Rails to Trails) is on both routes. No pets other than Assistance Dogs inside CVS, please. Sebastopol is 55 miles north of San Francisco. Screaming' Mimi's was voted #4 in USAToday's Best Ice Cream Parlors for 2016! The route has been changed so that the walk ends at The Barlow district of stores, wine tasting venues and restaurants. Thursday evenings during the summer include food trucks and music! Other annual events are: June- 2 weekends, Art at the Source-Open Studios, Apple Blossom Festival in April, Gravenstein Apple Festival in August and September-Zydeco Country Cajun Festival. MAY BE ONLINE ONLY! The Walk Box is just inside the store entrance from the parking lot, on the floor to the left. You may take the box outside to the low cement wall. CVS is open 8am to 10pm 7 days a week. Call the store for holiday hours. 707-823-7209. The route is on city streets, scenic trails, city and county parks, and Florence Ave, famous for its metal sculptures in various yards by Patrick Amiot. His art may be seen in other locations in Sebastopol. Sebastopol Art Gallery open Mon-Fri 10am to 5pm, Sat-Sun 1pm to 4pm. Closed holidays. Many wonderful shops and restaurants in town. Public restroom in Ides and Ragle Parks, as well as in The Barlow, (thebarlow.net) a 12 acre district of shops and restaurants. 2nd Sat & Sun of each month there is a street market of "Makers, Merchants, Crafters, Designers and Merchants". The Post Office has WPA art work. . The Sebastopol Depot, now a museum, is a highlight and on the National Register of Historic Places, as is the George Strout House at 253 Florence Ave. Art Trails Open Studios occurs 2 weekends in September. (SonomaCountyArtTrails.org) 2 charging stations and many clean air vehicle parking spaces are near by.

Driving to the start box
6877 Sebastopol Avenue, Sebastopol, CA 95472. Take Hwy 12 exit off Hwy 101 in Santa Rosa. Go W approx 7 miles to Sebastopol. CVS is on the left. Left on Barns Ave to CVS parking lot. Coming from the south on Hwy 116, turn right on Abbott Ave at The Feed Store, to Barns Ave.
