Event information
Start Point open 7am-11pm daily. Big Bear Lake is a four-seasons mountain community situated above 6700 ft elevation. Much of the lake's north shore is a sparsely developed area managed by the National Forest Service. There is a well-maintained paved bike and pedestrian trail ("Alpine Pedal Path") running from the east end of the lake to the locally renowned Solar Observatory. Adjacent to this trail is the Standfield Marsh wildlife preserve, with boardwalks over the water. 11K route includes the full length of the North Shore trail, and the Stanfield Marsh; the 5K route is fully wheelchair
