Event information
Daily-Dawn to Dusk. This is a new route that includes the Veterans Park as well as the historic highlights of the town where Harper Lee lived and wrote the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" and where Truman Capote spent his teenage years. See the old Monroeville Courthouse with the courtroom which was recreated in Hollywood for the movie, and where local actors perform the play each spring. Enjoy the delightful wall murals along the route. Tour the cemetery where the Lee's and relatives of Capote are buried. Walk through quiet, peaceful neighborhoods.

57 S Mt Pleasant. I-65, exit 93 W to Monroeville on US 84. Approx 20 miles, at intersection with AL 21, turn right on AL 21. Follow AL 21 to town (do not take by-pass) to Hines. Left on Hines, then right on Mt Pleasant.
