Event information
These walks are located in Creve Coeur Park, a St. Louis County Park. They are partially on a paved combination walking/bike path and partially on a gravel walking only path. The 5K circles Mallard Lake, and the 10K circles both Creve Coeur Lake and Mallard Lake. See the walk directions for driving directions to the start points. The10k walks pasess Dripping Springs waterfall, purportedly the scene of the tragic death of a lovelorn Indian girl, whose broken heart is said to have given the lake its sorrowful name: Creve Coeur. Rowing clubs, beautiful birds and sailboats can be seen on the lake. Creve Coeur Lake was the site of the rowing competition in the 1904 Olympics.
