The walk will go by many of the Rose Festival events including Dragon Boat Races, City Fair, Saturday Market and you will be able to watch the Rerouted Rose Festival Grand Parade.

Event comments

Because of the change in the Rose Festival Parade Route this walk will have a added 5 km loop along with the 2 loops that have been held in the past. LOOP #1 crosses Hawthorne Bridge past Dragon Boat Races, Rose Festival City Fair, thru Saturday market, then return back to the start by crossing the Burnside Bridge LOOP #2 goes into the Belmont - Hawthorne with many historic homes, wide variety of restaurants, and unique shops. Strollers difficult getting onto the Burnside Bridge, Wheelchairs no. Loop 3 will go towards the Lloyd Center using 12th Ave going past the old Benson High School to Lloyd Blvd where the parade will pass. The walk then will return across the new pedestrian bridge if opened. If not yet open then walkers will return on MLK Blvd.There will be a group walk for 5 and 10 km Walkers starting at 9:30.

Because of crowds do not recommend pets on loop #1or loop 3.Free Parking is on the street but because this is in a Monday thru Friday working area, there has been plenty of free parking available to walkers on Saturday morning.
