PRE-REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY by March 21 for long trail. Participants have a 30-minute start window from 7:45 - 8:15 am. We can walk together or those who desire to walk at their own speed will have a map.

It is National Walking Week! The first annual "Washington-Rochambeau Ramble" is a cross-county linear walk that begins in Occoquan and ends in Locust Shade County Park. A 5- and 10-km trails are available for those who would like to participate, but the "main event" is a fitness challenge to walk the Potomac Heritage and East Coast Greenway Trails along with the NPS Washington-Rochambeau "trail" down Route 1. The long trail requires pre-registration by March 21 via email to wrramble@ walkprincewilliamva.org . There is no limit to those who want to do the shorter trails but 30min start time!

how to get to the event

Driving to the start

REGISTER under the Route 123 overpass at the east end of Poplar Lane. Exit Route 123 onto Commerce Street and turn right at the first stop sign. Turn right onto Mill Street which becomes Poplar Lane. .... The 30km event will be linear walk across the county and requires pre-registration by contacting wrramble@ walkprincewilliamva.org by March 21. No pre-registration required for 5/10 km trails.
