This is a National Walking Week activity hosted by the Mid-America Regional Director to raise funds for the AVA and to spread awareness of AVA activites with the goal of generating one or more new clubs. Currently active Volkssporters are asked to please wear AVA apparel and may be conscripted on site to assist with the event. Pets must be leashed, and the owner is responsible for the removal of any waste.

Event information
Walk incorporates city sidewalks and existing improved and unimproved paths in city parks, which will take walkers past unique cultural and historic sites in Bowling Green.

Driving to the start
The Start Point is in the vicinity of the boat launch in Weldon Peete Park, 1708 River Street in Bowling Green, KY 42101. From Interstate I-65 take Exit 28 to Kentucky Route 446 Westbound, continue onto Louisville Road (US 31 W). At the intersection of Louisville Road and River Street TURN LEFT onto River Street in a Southwesterly direction. After three quarters of a mile, you will see the Weldon Peete Park on your left, which should be identified with a Volksmarch sign.
