Event comments
This walk will take you on paved trails (plus one crushed rock section) through the natural habitat along the Trinity River. Gateway Park is one of the largest parks in Fort Worth. It is only a few minutes from downtown Fort Worth on I-30. However, in the midst of these high traffic areas, it is a great place to walk without encountering busy streets. On the walk you will see a dog park, soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, disc golf course, kayak launch point and off road bike trails. Yes, there are plenty of trees also. There are toilets in Gateway Park, but the closest toilet to Quanah Parker Park is in the parking area near the intersection of Oakland and E. 1st.
