Event information

Sanford is at the edge of Lake Monroe, one of many lakes that are part of the St. Johns River (the River of Lakes) flowing very slowly northward through the east side of Florida.This walk will take you along the beautiful Lake Monroe Waterfront Strollway and through the wonderfully restored historic Downtown District circa 1887. Also stroll through many of the city's parks and past the preserved and varied historic homes.

This event also has a physical start box. These are the driving directions:

230 E 1st St. From I-4 take Exit 101C onto SR46. Drive east on SR46 for approx. 4.2 miles, crossing Hwy 17-92 to Palmetto Ave. Turn left onto Palmetto Ave. Parking available in lot on the right. Center located on the corner across Palmetto Ave. Ask for the Volkssport Walk Box.
