Event information

Take a walk through history as you tour the wonders of "the oldest city in the United States." Pass by the old Spanish rock walled fort, Castillo San Marco, which withstood British artillery attacks in 1740; continue through a National Cemetery and numerous historical sites; ride in a horse-drawn carriage; visit unique shops and restaurants. The city has a diverse selection of outstanding museums. Throughout the town's architecture you will see the legacy of Henry Flagler, one of the founders of Standard Oil Company and the creator of the currently operating Florida East Coast Railroad.

Driving to the start box

116 San Marco Ave. Volkssport Walk Box at Registration Desk in Hotel Lobby. N on I-95 Exit 311 to SR207. Right (NE) to SR207. Drive 5.1 miles to US Hwy 1. Left to US1, Drive 1.4 miles to traffic signal at W Castillo. Turn right to W Castillo. Drive 0.3 miles to San Marco. Turn left on San Marco, drive to the Double Tree by Hilton on the Left. S on I-95 Exit 318 to Hwy 16, Green Cove Springs/St Augustine exit (also Outlet Mall exit). Left to Hwy 16. Drive 5.6 miles to San Marco, turn right (S) to San Marco. Drive 0.9 to Double Tree by Hilton on the Right.
