Event information

5k on paved walkways; 10k also includes gravel paths and some road shoulders. Enjoy exploring Turner, a town founded in 1871 when the California & Oregon Railroad passed through, and named for Henry Turner, pioneer and flour mill owner. Predominately a lumber town until 1974, this quiet community makes for a most pleasant walk. Learn a bit of history, see some historic buildings, and walk to Turner Lake Park (old rock quarry), around the lake, and through a new development built along the lake. The 10K route will also go through historic Turner Twin Oaks Cemetery.
