Event information

This walk is on trails of blacktop, gravel road, wood chips, and tall grass firebreak with small hills and tall grass natural prairie. Be aware the grass may be wet. Visit the Learning Center (free admission) to learn about the restoration of Iowa's natural prairies. Herds of Buffalo and Elk may be seen from the trails as they roam their vast fenced prairies. Pets are NOT allowed on the refuge. Learning Center hour: Tues-Sat 9 am to 4 pm. Check website (fws.org) for holiday closures.
