The park has 417 acres with paved trails and nature trails plus playgrounds, 3 ponds, pavilions, and sports fields. 5k stays on the paved trails thur wooded areas along creeks and around a pond. The 10k will continue on natural surface on the west side of the park.

Driving to the start
Brand Road south of Renner Road. From Bush Tollway, north on Brand Rd. Cross Campbell and continue to first entrance (Entrance C) into Breckinrdge Park on the left. From Renner Rd, south on Brand passing A and B entrances to Entrance C on the right. Park is in east side of Richardson and north of Garland.
