Event comments

The 10K and 5K routes are mainly on paved surfaces. The first portion goes through downtown and the Mudville section of Holliston (note the new sidewalks, curbs, and paved streets; tribute to Casey at the Bat and the Irish immigrants who built the railroad before going through the 1-arch railroad bridge on Arch Street and accessing the Upper Charles Rail Trail. Along this section of the trail on the way over the 8-arch viaduct, fitness stations are set up. The second portion of the route goes to the high school through residential neighborhoods with historic homes dating to early 19th century and back through downtown.
